Event description:
The thesis is part of the action-research program developed in Valledolmo in collaboration with the municipal administration and the local community. It represents the fourth graduate thesis dedicated to the urban regeneration of the city center.
The project involved a large group of supervisors, including architect Mariano Genovese, who contributed to the project development, focusing on sustainability, the functional organization of public spaces, and the relationship between architecture, local production, and territorial identity.
The project identifies an integrated system of public spaces for the Agricultural Fair in the northern urban area of the town, between Via Dante Alighieri and Via Alcide De Gasperi. The project envisions the logistical reorganization of the area and the construction of a new Agri-food Pavilion and permanent and temporary exhibition structures. The project proposes solutions geared toward urban and environmental sustainability, with energy-efficient buildings integrated into the urban fabric, creating a new gateway to the city of Valledolmo.
